Menopause Support
What is Menopause?
Every woman will experience menopause – but your experience of menopause is unique to you, which is the main reason why there’s so much confusion about symptoms and treatment. You might be familiar with the more common symptoms of the perimenopause and menopause, such as hot flushes, night sweats and irregular periods. But fluctuating hormone levels can cause a surprising array of symptoms that you don’t necessarily associate with menopause, including low mood, anxiety, fatigue, memory problems and joint pains.
Unfortunately, a lack of education about menopause means that many doctors are also unaware of some menopause-related symptoms. This is one of the reasons why you could wait years for a menopause diagnosis.
In fact, a survey of 5,000 women conducted by Newson Health Research and Education found that a third of women wait at least three years for their symptoms to be correctly diagnosed as menopause related, and a further 18% visited their doctor six times before they got the help they needed.
Early identification can aid your support and help you gain control of your symptoms.
Menopause Hormone Testing
Hormones help to regulate and control the body’s development. They dictate our moods, health and behaviours, affecting everything from blood pressure to growth and fertility, metabolism and even sleep. Having an understanding of our hormones can be hugely useful when looking to gain a better understanding of what our body needs to remain fit and healthy.
What can I expect from this Menopause Hormones Profile?
This home test checks for the important hormones needed to give information about menopause. It can also help with hormone replacement therapy monitoring, period problems and other hormone related issues. It can identify the hormonal changes expected at the onset of menopause.
